Job Description

Gundersen Health Systemisrecruitingfora comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our robust and established practice. The ideal candidate should have a mix of interests with a solid comprehensive focus to join our team based department. Shared call with other board certified Ophthalmologists on staff.

The Gundersen Eye Department is a full-service ophthalmology department. Along with comprehensive ophthalmologists, we have subspecialists including cornea, glaucoma,retina, pediatrics andoculoplastics.

We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesotaand northeast Iowa. In addition to our eleven ophthalmologists, our professional eye care team includes optometrists,certifiedophthalmicand optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians.

Completion of an accredited residency training program is required for this role. Fellowship is considered but not required. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.This is an employed model with competitive salary and benefits.
