Job Description

About the Role:

Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing business improvement projects and processes for Duraplate manufacturing. Support teams to make improvements to existing devices and manufacturing processes. Lead complex projects independently with minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trend; adjust asset maintenance plans accordingly.
  • Systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes identifying maintenance preventative tasks and operator preventative tasks.
  • Own the equipment risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
  • Develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes for new and existing assets
  • Assesses process capabilities and equipment reliability, prioritizes improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
  • Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation. Uses capability and reliability studies to predict maintenance needs.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of technical reviews using results from capability and reliability studies.
  • Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements.
  • Writes and reviews validation protocols and reports applications to new processes.
  • Works with project manager to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. Contributes or generates ideas for process improvement focused on safety, quality, reliability, and cost.
  • Train and provide work direction to technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel when required.
  • Serve as a core team member or extended team member on new projects.
  • Participate in lean reviews and line-side meetings.
  • Comply with all requirements of the Environmental, Health, and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.
  • Other duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Engineering Major Desired in one of the following disciplines: Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Management. Master's Degree a plus
  • Professional experience in manufacturing/production and reliability
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software
  • Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma a plus.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or Solid Works
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 90-day as well as a one to three yeartime span and prepare action plans to achieve these results
  • Ability to train employees and further develop them as it relates to your area of responsibilities.
  • Daily measurement of performance to goals and standards
  • An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations
