Job Summary

Are you passionate about streamlining processes and maximizing efficiency? We're seeking a Payroll Manager to join our team! In this role, you'll identify and eliminate inefficiencies within our payroll systems and procedures. Your responsibilities will include evaluating workflows, engaging with stakeholders, and implementing simplified processes across the organization. If you have a bachelor's degree and or 3 years of equivalent applicable on the job payroll experience (i.e., solid knowledge of payroll processes and committed to process improvement), we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Manage, oversee payroll. Includes identifying opportunities to streamline.
  • Implement process to ensure consistent adherence to CBA in terms of hourly pay for union members (i.e., overtime, agreed upon pay rates as outlined in the CBA).
  • Collaborate and build relationships with all stakeholders - including business owners, and field operations to ensure buy-in and alignment with simplification of payroll initiatives.
  • Facilitate and create communications and documentation around the adoption of simplified payroll processes across the account.
  • Create and maintain project documentation pertinent to the project, including but not limited to, status reports, work plans, presentations, analysis, facilitation events.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining user stories as required to support project goals.
  • Measure the impact of simplification efforts and track performance gains.
  • Manage projects independently.
  • Seek personal growth by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent 3 years' experience with managing payroll and meal plan programs.
  • Solid knowledge of Payroll, preference in a union environment
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, simplification, or operational excellence
  • Change management expertise to drive adoption of simplified processes Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability addresses competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent business analytical capabilities to solve complex business issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Project Management solutions (Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Projects)
  • Agile certifications encouraged.
