Job Description

About the Role:

As a CAD Designer, you will work on a variety of design executions. Activities include, but are not limited to, using CAD equipment to provide support to Design Engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assemblies, sketches, and diagrams. This position requires interactions with design engineers daily but may also include other functional groups, particularly Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create models and drawings for product engineering designs
  • Develop content for Customer Parts Books
  • Provide feedback to Engineers/CAD Designers II for design intent, fit, and function of parts and assemblies
  • Review standard models and drawings before release for usability and coverage
  • Other duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design; Bachelor's degree is a plus
  • Experience working with SolidWorks CAD and PLM system
  • Training with drafting practices and ANSI standards
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Understanding of GD&T and AutoCAD software is a plus
  • SAP experience is beneficial
  • CSWA certification is beneficial
